EURAXESS Switzerland is a member of the European Euraxess Network.
EURAXESS comprises four focal areas:

EURAXESS Services Centres provide free and personalised assistance on the challenges faced by researchers and their families when relocating, as stated in the EURAXESS Services Commitment.
The Researcher's Mobility Portal Switzerland is part of a joint initiative of the European Commission and the countries participating in the European Union's Framework Programmes for Research.
1b Support to EURAXESS Service Centres’ Staff
Staff of the Swiss Network of EURAXESS Service Centers are supported by the Bridghead-Organisation CRUS. Information for staff and network members can be found on the Euraxess staff website.
The Swiss EURAXESS subproject "Swiss Network of Mobility Centers SNMC" (1.6.2008 – 30.5.2010) is co-financed with €200'000.- by the European Commission .

1c A Word by the President of the Steering Committee
« Today is the last day of the Project « Swiss Network of Mobility Centres » SNMC. Although it was never questioned, that the European Mobility Strategy is of the utmost importance to the Swiss Universities, it was sometimes not so easy, to find means and ways to implement the most promising tools to support the mobility of researchers. Nevertheless, we are proud of the results of SNMC, which we can profit of today. Due to this success, CRUS decided in January 2010 to guarantee Euraxess Switzerland a sustainable future. The establishment of Euraxess Switzerland would not have been possible without the start-up grant of the European Commission and we are very grateful to all the people in Europe and in Switzerland, who have contributed to its success. »
